Welcome to

Norton Free Fridge

Free For All

Norton Free Fridge is free for all regardless of circumstance. No voucher or referral is needed, just turn up.

Reducing Waste

We throw away so much. Our aim is to reduce waste by utilising surplus food from local supermarkets and traders.

Great Selection

We usually have pies, pasties, bread, fruit & veg. All is kindly donated as surplus but still within use-by dates.

About Us

The Norton free fridge is open Tuesday and Friday mornings from 10.00am until noon (or earlier if all the food has gone).

We would hope that anyone who is struggling financially would take advantage of this free food. Equally if people take food and are in a position to give a donation that is OK too.

We have been supported in setting up by Norton Town Council and Yorkshire Housing Association. We have also received charitable donations from The Rotary Club and The Lions Club.  We are not for profit, any donations go towards our running expenses. We offer tea, coffee and biscuits to anyone using the fridge, as well as a warm friendly space.

The only rules for people taking food from the fridge is that is not sold on, and that it is used.

Please do come round and see us on one of the mornings we are open and have a coffee with us.
